Thursday night I received a phone call from my father.  He went on to tell me that he has a degenerative disease in 4 discs in his neck and requires surgery as soon as possible. The doctor wanted him to see the surgeon that same day, but he has an appointment Tuesday. So I am assuming that at that time we will find out when his surgery will be. They will be placing a metal rod in his neck.

The Dr. said that this is a serious as heart surgery and that if he gets in a fender bender or anything  before the surgery it could cause paralysis. So we would really appreciate any prayers.

I am writing this to give the heads up that I might have to go to Maryland for the surgery at any time causing a delay.
