Wake/Funeral

The wake is today. The funeral is tomorrow. I will be completely unavailable today and tomorrow. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Here is a tribute written by myself and my siblings:

To Our Father,
We treasure the days we have spent with you.  You have done so much to mold our lives and have provided us with a lifetime of invaluable memories.  You were committed to working hard, sacrificing for us and living a life of integrity as a man of God. Throughout it all of you persevered with a playful sense of humor.
As we look back we remember times full of warmth and fun.  During our favorite times we shared with you we enjoyed lively and competitive board games, fishing trips, Ping-Pong tournaments, badminton and traveling in the family wagon. You always taught us the importance of work but made time for family fun.
Your commitment to us started each day before dawn, when you rose to work on the railroad.  After long days at work you diligently attended all of our events, sports, art, dance, drama and music. You always enthusiastically supported us in our various activities even if you found them, “Not to thrilling and not too filling.” We could count on you to be on the sidelines encouraging us to, “Not just participate, but dominate.” We are blessed to have a Dad that was able to instill strong character and principals.  Your integrity was the strong foundation for all you did.
Throughout our lives we have never doubted your love, you even had enough to embrace your nephew as number eight. Whether you were working hard, keeping us in line, or encouraging us with a joke, we always knew how much you loved us.
It is going to be a challenge to go on without you by our side. But you have prepared us well for our life’s journey.  We love you Dad.
All Our Love,
Fat Cup, Misha-Mish, Kyna Bear, Panda, Jeremiah-Obediah, Bush, Bubbas, and Kuda Brown
